Abstract: The paper considers the features of the mergers and acquisitions strategy in the field of international business, in particular the difference between M&A in international business, the main reasons for the crafting the strategy and steps on pre-implementation stage. It is noted that before implementing the strategy, organizations need to assess external markets, competitors and business units and determine whether the strategy plays an important role in business growth or providing strategic opportunities.
