Abstract: The scientific work explored the basics of online advertising as an effective tool for promoting small businesses in the context of global digitalization. The main components and stages of the process of on-line promotion in the conditions of aggravated competition have been identified. Internet advertising was been considered as tools set to influence the target audience of a particular enterprise, which includes: placing advertising content on thematic sites, in Internet directories and directories, social networks, blogs and other communities, the use of banner networks, e-mail marketing, search engine optimization and corporate website promotion, etc. Main advantages of online advertising were discloused.
