Abstract: The factors of increasing the motivation of non-philology students in the process of mastering foreign languages have been determined. It is indicated that learning can be motivated by three types: negative, positive, but unrelated and personal. Emphasis is placed on the need for learning, which is motivated by the acquisition of knowledge, the enjoyment of cognitive activity, and the realization of opportunities and abilities. Three groups of reasons for the decrease in motivation to learn a foreign language have been identified, which can be combined with the features of internal and external motivation to study. The importance of the use of new information technologies in teaching foreign languages has been determined, which contributes to the intensification of the educational process, increases the effectiveness of education in general, the interest of students and, of course, activates their educational activities, opens up opportunities for individual learning, and allows you to control the learning process. the results of performing various types of tasks, creates conditions for the practical use of tasks.
