Abstract: This article examines the impact of a country's GDP on its spending on education. An econometric model of paired regression was built, which makes it possible to estimate the correlation between the GDP of different countries and state expenditures on education. The conducted analysis of the quality of the model and the significance of its parameters allows us to conclude that there is a direct correlation between the well-being of the country's population and the funds that the state invests in ensuring the level of education, which creates conditions for the sustainable development of the economy.
