The article deas with the process of modeling export and import potential as a sequence of transformations of cognitive, substantive, conceptual, informational, and mathematical models. It describes these models and provides recommendations for the development of each of them. It is recommended that a cognitive model of export-import potential is defined as the combination of the subject (the ability) and the object (the possibility) of its components contributing to the ability to carry out export and import operations, an opportunity to provide them a positive balance, namely to carry out effective export and import activities for the formation and reproduction of a competitive position on domestic and foreign markets. A list of the main analytical tasks of determining the ex-port and import potential was proposed in this paper. It was given real-world multiobjective optimi-zation model for finding optimal values of indicators of export-import potential of the enterprise.ru_RU
